Free Family Fun! Saturday, September 8 from 10:00 to 3:00 at George Washington Carver National Monument Prairie Days
Take a horse drawn wagon ride through the prairie, settle in for some great music, walk the trail and try your hand at the many interactive stations. Across the grounds you will find a quilting bee, edible and medicinal plants, food preservation, Civil War field medicine, banjo making, basket weaving, and prairie ecology. Panhandle Sam will share African American history in song and the Ozark Wilderness Dulicmer Club will be on hand all day.
