Dogwood Trailblazers Rainbow Bridge Walk

The mostly rural walk begins at the Baxter Springs Museum and proceeds along the original historic Route 66 to “Rainbow Bridge”, the last concrete truss bridges left along Route 66.
Location: 7037 SE Hwy 66, Riverton, KS. From I-44 exit #1 (west of Joplin) onto Hwy 166 to MO Hwy 26 north. Go north to Historic Route 66 in Galena, KS. Turn left (west) to Quick Stop on the right at the only light in Riverton. A drive of approximately 6 miles is required to reach the walk start at Baxter Springs Museum. Restrooms available at the registration point and at the walk start if during museum operating hours.
