Start Point The Pitt Stop 902 S. Joplin St. From I-44 drive 31 miles through Galena and Riverton to Pittsburg. (620-235-1551)
Driving Directions * I-44, Exit 1 Hwy. 166 west/400 west. At stop sign, north on Hwy. 26 to Galena ( 6.3 miles from I-44). *Left at stoplight Hwy. 66 west for 3.6 miles. * Right at stoplight on 70th, 8/10 mile to “T” at stop sign. *Right on Hwy. 400 west/north alternate 69. Follow Hwy. 69 north 20.7 miles to Pittsburg. *Right at traffic light onto Quincy St to Broadway. Left on Broadway to Jefferson. *Right on Jefferson one block to Joplin. The Pitt Stop convenience store is located at the corner of Jefferson and Joplin.
Description Only one event credit for all trails. 5K and 10K trails follow bike/hike path across Pittsburg State University with streets and sidewalks in residential area. Our new 12K trail takes you to residential areas and downtown to new special event sites. Miners Memorial and Immigrant Park give history of area.
