Driving Directions *From I-44 exit #1 (west of Joplin MO) onto Hwy 166 *West to MO Hwy 26 north, go north to Historic Rt 66. *Turn left (west) to Quik Stop on the right at the only stop light in Riverton.
Description Only one event credit even if completing both trails. Walk passes Spring River then in rural setting on paved, historic Rt 66. Highlight of this walk is original concrete truss “Rainbow” bridge built in 1923. Only one still standing on Rt. 66. Baxter Springs’ cow town history is highlight of second walk to Spring River, Fort Blair and Native American site. Distance 10km/5km
